CAL supports Walk to School Week!
CAL's community hubs in Alwoodley, Horsforth, and Otley will be supporting local schools to participate in Walk to School Week 2025

About the Event
Every year, national charity Living Streets offers schools the chance to participate in Walk to School Week (WSW), where children are encouraged to walk/wheel, cycle, or scoot their way to school.
In 2024, one CAL community hub - Alwoodley 2030 - ran a campaign of communication and practical support to help school staff and parents at local schools engage with WSW opportunities.
A2030's ward-wide effort was so successful that this year, CAL hubs in Horsforth, Otley, have joined Alwoodley in offering support to schools and families around the week beginning May 19th.
If you know a child who attends a primary school in one of these areas, check in to see if their school is participating in WSW - there might be extra support or incentives coming from CAL!
