Most of this event is agenda free - chance to mingle, network, catch up with friends, and find out what is going on in Leeds’ green scene.
This month’s guest speaker will be a representative from Reclaim The Power. They will give a short talk around 6.30pm about their campaign against Drax power station in Selby and taking direct action in the context of new police powers.
In 2024, Reclaim the Power mobilised hundreds of people with plans to set up a climate camp against Drax Power station, but it was preemptively shut down by the police, who arrested 25 people on the eve of the camp. After some time to recover from this shock, Reclaim the Power have…
