Come along to four evening sessions and learn the “what, how, and why” of the Climate Action Leeds programme.
Time & Location

Headingley, Heart Centre, Bennett Rd, Headingley, Leeds LS6 3HN, UK
About the Event
Join us for the second in this series of induction workshops covering the “what, how, and why” of the Climate Action Leeds programme!
Over the four participatory sessions we’ll cover:
- how we plan to transform Leeds to a zero carbon, nature friendly, socially just city
- the key facts about the climate emergency
- a deep-dive into how radical change takes place
The workshops will be a great opportunity to meet passionate like-minded people from across Leeds.
This induction is perfect for those poeple who have recently come on board with the project through a community hub or were involved in the initial bid and haven't had much further involvement yet. These are open sessions, so anyone interesting in taking action on climate change is more than welcome.
This is a trial series and we hope participants will contribute feedback throughout the workshops on the content and format. Feedback will be used to perfect these workshops as we offer them to a wider audience across Leeds.
The sessions will take place from 6:30 - 9:30pm on:
- Tuesday 12th October: What is Climate Action Leeds?
- Tuesday 26th October: The climate emergency
- Tuesday 9th November: How change happens
- Tuesday 23rd November: Consensus decision-making and effective groups
You are welcome to join as many or as few of the workshops as you are able to, though we would encourage you to come to all of the sessions as the induction is designed as a four part series.
Register your details to confirm your attendance and you will be sent the details and reminders for all four workshops.
The sessions will be held at Heart Centre, Headingley, which is a fully accessible venue.
